Monday 17th November - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny but chilly.

Mag headed out on her early morning walk but I gave that a miss and went out in the van a little later at 6.45 but there was a bank of cloud on the horizon so not much of a sunrise first thing, cold too with the wind in the north, at least the sea was fairly flat with a nice swell rolling in! With no inspertion for a photo I ended up at Felixstowe dock view point to take a pic of a container ship before driving all the way to Felixstowe Ferry, nothing there so returned via The Fludyers and parked just past Bent Hill as the sun broke above the cloud and got some nice picks around the new beach hut bases before returning home to warm up. Maeva has been and still is under the weather, they have workman in the house today so her Dad brought Maeva and her mum round for the day, she does look ill and was quite content to cuddle up with Mag! She did pick up and did a few things at the kitchen worktop with stickers and pens and then was keen to go shopping to Lidl and was happy to push a basket round:) Her Dad came to pick them up to take then home around 2.30 meaning Mag and I could head out for a chilly but lovely sunset stroll along Felixstowe prom! We stopped on the pier for ages watching a hardly surfer waiting for a decent wave, sadly he was disappointed and Felixstowe is not well know as a surfing spot but as I said a northerly swell produces some OK waves! We then continued down past the Spa Theatre as the sun set behind the dock cranes, nice it was too, then home for the usual hot water bottle, cuppa and cake! Winter has arrived now and we are in for a spell of cold weather:(
